Why software tweaks actually matter
Most guides you'll find online focus on one or two settings — "turn off Game Bar," "set high performance power plan," "update your drivers." Those help, but they're a small slice of what's actually holding your PC back. Windows makes dozens of decisions per second about which threads to run, which core to run them on, when to service interrupts, and how aggressively to sleep hardware. Every one of those decisions has a default tuned for the average laptop user, not a competitive gamer.
Overtune's job is to shift those defaults, in the right combinations, across a validated set of changes. That's why the gains you see in our benchmarks aren't 3–5% here and there — they're 40%+ on average FPS and, more importantly, dramatically tighter 1% lows.
